Rolanda Howard was born and raised in Howard County, Maryland. Rolanda is an alumnus of Long Reach's High School class of 2001. While at Long Reach, she was a 4-year Track & Field athlete, and she was also a 7-time individual State champion in the long jump and triple jump. Her success in Track & Field landed her a full scholarship to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN, where she studied Business Administration. After college, Rolanda also spent time coaching and mentoring youth at Long Reach for a few years. Rolanda decided to continue her education and received an Associate’s Degree in Nursing at Howard Community College in 2019. She became a Registered Nurse in March 2021. She currently has two children enrolled in the Howard County Public School System. She is passionate about making an impact in her community. Rolanda and her sister have consistently donated laundry detergent, school supplies, toys, uniforms, and other items to underserved communities. It is important to Rolanda that the youth have the resources necessary to be successful in their future endeavors. Rolanda brings her strong communicative, empathetic, and problem-solving approach to the Dream Team, and she looks forward to making strides of impact in her community.
