Ariel Peterson was born in Philadelphia, PA and spent her younger years in Philadelphia and New Jersey. She moved to Howard County MD at age 12 and has lived there since. She attended Mayfield Woods Middle School and Long Reach High School. After High School she started her college career at University of Maryland Eastern Shore, but eventually graduated with her B.S. in Health Science from Towson University. After about a year she went back to Towson to obtain her Postbaccalaureate in Secondary Education. She is now the Health/P.E. teacher at Mayfield Woods Middle School. In the Fall, Ariel will be the head coach of the J.V. girls soccer team and in the spring she is the assitant sprinter track and field coach. Additionally, she is working on her Masters in Kinesiology at McDaniel College. Ariel has a passion for health and fitness and bringing awareness to the youth. She is excited for the opportunity to serve, mentor and inspire the next generation.
